Hi, my name is Steven Elie, owner of Superior Hardwood Design (SHD), established in 2021, and Superior Exteriors MN Inc. (SE), founded in 2005.
Superior Exteriors is a full-service general contracting company specializing in exterior remodeling, with extensive experience in interior renovations and the construction of 10 new homes from the foundation up. In 2021, I purchased our current building, which includes 7,000 square feet dedicated to SE corporate headquarters and SHD, with an additional 7,000 square feet leased to Chux Screen Printing.
SE fully gutted, designed, and remodeled the space into a custom-built headquarters and workshop, creating a one-of-a-kind environment that reflects our craftsmanship and attention to detail. Visitors enjoy a uniquely welcoming experience, featuring five large fish tanks (ranging from 125 to 200 gallons), three smaller aquariums, and the daily company of my two French Bulldogs, Leonard and Lilly.

OUR Story
Founder Steven Elie had a desire to be involved in and learn everything about the wood industry. His vision was to create a business that provides quality assurance at every step of the process of converting a tree to a table. Our process begins by selecting high quality trees through sustainable resources. Milling our lumber to achieve unique grain patterns and managing the drying process.
